Ty-Hendre is a superbly appointed cottage situated just a couple of miles out of Fishguard and with lovely pastoral surroundings. The owners have created a delightful conservation area within the 5 acres of grounds with various places for quiet contemplation or recreation and a landscaped area with lake.
The rear garden has part decking, part gravel with barbecue, more seating and tables, also sunloungers this area receives the setting sun. There are a selection of coves and bays within easy driving distance of the cottage. Fishguard has a very good range of shops, art and craft galleries and a small theatre. The owners have spent a great deal of time and energy renovating this cottage to a superb standard

About the area
This delightful cottage set in five acres of grounds is situated approximately two miles from Fishguard.
This small town has a wealth of galleries, shops and restaurants and the port for ferry crossings to Rosslare. The owners, who live next door, have created a wonderful conservation area within the grounds with a landscaped area with lake. A perfect place for a BBQ. There is also a sunny small private decked area at the rear of the cottage with table and chairs. The coast path of North Pembrokeshire, its delightful beaches and Strumble Head peninsula, which is a superb vantage point for bird watching, seals and porpoises is just a short drive away.
EXTRA Notes
- Pretty cotton bed linen is provided for the beds which both have duvets.
- The rear garden is part decked and part gravel with table and chairs and benefits from the evening sunsets.
- There is no cot and high chair available and the property is not suited to children under 10 years of age because of the lake.
- Sorry, no pets and no smoking.
- There is full oil fired central heating throughout the cottage and all fuel and electricity charges are included in the rental.
- Towels available on request - £3 per guest.
The Cottage Details
Kitchen
- Tiled floor, period dresser and a range of fully fitted shaker style units. The kitchen is fitted with a gas hob and oven, automatic washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave oven and a breakfast table and chairs.
Dining Room
- which has a tiled floor, a low (6\') open beam ceiling and a large inglenook fireplace with gas fired coal effect stove. The sitting area is furnished with a large cream leather sofa and comfy chair, occasional furniture, large wool rug making the cottage nice and cosy, lamps, colour TV, video/DVD and stereo CD/radio. The dining area has a large table with high back dining chairs and ambient lighting.
Bathrooms
- Both Bedrooms are ensuite with showers
Bedrooms
- Bedroom 1 has a thickly carpeted floor, king sized pine bed and matching pine bedroom furniture. The en-suite shower room has a shower cubicle, WC and wash hand basin.
- Bedroom 2 also has a pine double bed with co-ordinating pine bedroom furniture and thick carpet. The en-suite shower room has a shower cubicle, WC and wash hand basin.
Changeover Day
Changeover dates can be flexible, but in the main holiday season it is out 10.00 am on Saturday and arrive 16.00 pm Saturday.
Main holiday season being June until September, but please ask, we want to be as flexible for you as possible.
Payment Notes
A winter fuel supplement of £25 per week from October until April will be added to the rental. A 5% discount may be taken if two or more weeks are booked together. We are flexible on arrival/departure dates. Any bookings for 2009 @ 2008 prices - if booked in 2008.
Booking Notes
Booking options can be held for 3 days. After which a 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. Full payment is required 8 weeks prior to arrival. Full booking information and conditions are available upon request.
